RBI MPC Maintains Repo Rate at 6.50%, Projects FY27 Growth at 7.2%
The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), chaired by Governor Shaktikanta Das, today unanimously decided to keep the benchmark repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for the sixth consecutive review. The MPC revised its projection for real GDP growth for FY27 to 7.2% from 7.0%, citing robust domestic demand and improving investment climate. Inflation projection for FY27 remains at 4.8%.
